Evenin all. Now i'm not one to punt products, as I'm not a dealer, but i've just come across a smashing deal from Eutectic Castolin on an MMA inverter/pulse tig machine. They are a top quality product - proper Pro stuff, and a very good price, offer ends 31st Dec.

Edit - I know most of you won't be interested in an MMA/DCtig machine, but if I was on the hunt for a new'un, i'd be putting this on my xmas list. (even though it's scratch start)

It's the Ultramax 2. 140A inverter, £275 + vat. (I know, that whacks it up)
But they are doing a buy 4 get one free deal, useful for a company restocking on gear, I suppose.

Ohhh the transpockets are great...Iv been on a large structual job all week, cranes and all sorts involved so proper, Iv had the transpocket, and the S/F thermal arc Mig with me in the cherry picker, You dont realise just how good an excellent machine is until you put it against something thats OK...

I've never used an inverter type before so should be interesting, my welders have all been industrial units that are years old, except my ESAB!!!

zzr inverters are a dream to use, my IFL unit and my EWM put down a perfect bead everytime without missing a beat, with esab mildtrode rods i can even get away with bad technique and still put a nice bead down. I just finished some stainless work with 2.5mm rods on 1.5mm thick stainless, beautiful

Ok, this one won't go high enough, but do high powered dc inverters suffer from arc blow like the old dc sets?

Si for that money i would, but i got an ewm pico 140 and an IFL 200phf, and i only got two hands, perhaps i could learn to weld with my feet. Then i could stand on one foot have one in one hand the other in the other hand and one between my toes. It is good value considering MTA are selling the thermoarc 150se and the sealey/telwin mw140 for 300 + vat

arrived today...

The arc is silky smooth, seems to be a well made unit...

The only thing I can never understand is why they supply an electrode camp that would not be out of place on a 'very ell cheap-o chinese machine and thin plastic covered welding leads. If I had paid rrp i would have been very disappointed with the leads...

Just waiting for the tig torch from weldequip to arrive now...

Ordered one today after intense negotiations with Mrs Mishka. This is my official Christmas present to myself, on the understanding that a lot of things in the workshop that I apparently "don't need" are to be sold to (a) make room for the new toy, and (b) fund purchase of said item.

Might be here tomorrow, more likely next week.

Well look on the bright side, you won't have to sell much to make the space, unless there has been a set amount of offset funds stated....(has Mrs M anything stored in the workshop that could be sold).....

...

Anyway you could always mention the space/cost ratio of female shoes/handbags and usage of said items, mine has at least 30 pairs min probably nearer 40 stashed away, if the truth be know....and the bags... just don't go there..... :worms
