I really dont want another red herring of taking down the structure. In hindsight that may well have been a better plan, but, at this point in time, i just want it done, and sticking a roof on whats there is going to be the quickest patheway to completion.

are those timbers notched around each other, or using joist hangers? i cant see on the photo?

its not what others have to do its what you have to do if you have to cut it over the wall then do so
as your pic shows this to be true then it must be done
each metal angle iron rafter has to be done as well
so cut your apex points first
note the joist hanger is your original angle iron frame and thats why you bolt it to your original metal angle iron frame
if you want to use 5x2s make sure its over 120mm as many times its not as its planned its why we use a latt on the inside

order of fitting blue is your wall note it is inside of your grey line which is your fascia board
black apex beam
red rafters nailed to the apex beam and cut over the wall 5x2 or 4x2s you choose
purple purlins are nailed to your rafters
orange if you want to fit it but i would do
the fascia board is grey
i think the plastic fascia is 38mm it can be bigger so check what your buying

dont forget your only fitting insulation between the purple perlins and the ridge area the wall point is filled with foam from the gun

Slow, i know, but ive had other things to do in life also -
Im real tempted to hammer up the cellotex so as its flush with the perlins, and do away with the board altogether.
Those gaps are all slightly wider than 4 foot, so if i get a load of 8x4 sheets, ill have unsupported joints anyway.
What do you think?
And, if board is required, now that theres a photo of the job, what thickness board should i buy again? Bare in mind that the joints will be unsupported, and it will be ply not osb (simply as that is what i can get locally, and the cost is virtually no different).

I know this moves very very slowly, but, believe me, I've got other things going on also.
I've just come in from trimming the excess expanding foam that I used to cover up my shoddy cellotex cutting.
I'm away for a couple of days now, but as soon as I get back, I'll get the 11mm OSB on that I picked up on Friday, and, once the membrane is on top of that, at least it will be water tight until the sheet box section roofing turns up.
