If you get a replacement rear spacer and frame yes restore it.
Fabricate a repair and away you go.
Dunk it in citric acid for a few days.

I shall refer to it in whichever way I please, I am now calling it MINE. 
Anyhow it turned up this morning and it's massive. I didn't realise it was such a biggie though I did get a clue with the shipping weight, a whopping 17kg which is a fair size for a wood vice.
It has issues of course and the main one being it is seized solid. It's not right at the front of the queue and I have a couple of other vices (
) which demand more urgent attention. I rather suspect a flurry of vice projects coming to a thread near you soon. With the timescales required of citric dip/electrolysis, there's no reason I shouldn't be able to do 3-4 vices in parallel while updating the various projects on YouTube...
I have run out of excuses now not to start cranking these out. Watch this space.
