The Pistons looked fine to me. There seems to be a fair separation between the water seals and oil seals on these Pistons so I'm not sure the same part of the piston would enter in to both the oil and water sides. Could be wrong of course.are the pistons not worn ?
if you run hot water through it, you get capitation (air bubbles) and it eats through the pistons :-(
Open lid on wheelie bin and drop it in with a smile on your face knowing a brandnew one can be bought for under £70...
Trouble is I'm a bit tight so it's either fix it or buy another cheapie. Got to agree about buying low priced stuff though.Buying those £70 ones is what keeps this cycle going.

Might just put grease in it instead of oil and see how long it lasts. Probably about a minute.
