Was that a space heater Paul?I had an Andrews diesel heater, warmed up an 1100 sq ft workshop no problem, never had a problem with moisture or fumes, if you do get bad smells it probably needs servicing, gave mine away to another workshop when I closed the place

Propane one made my eyes sting and gave off so much moisture it rusted everything in the shed.

That’s about it really.I recently bought one to dry out the mancave prior to painting, If its big enough to actually heat the place the fumes will kill you and if its too small the noise will do your head in.
