I wouldn't be laying on something that's been creosoted! It pretty nasty stuff. Can you still buy proper creosote?, could do with treating some marine ply I've bought for laying under cars on our gravel drive.
Yes you can but it's restricted to professional use only (no DIY sales) like paint stripper with DCM in it. Last time I bought some DCM stuff off e bay the conversation went like this:Can you still buy proper creosote?, could do with treating some marine ply I've bought for laying under cars on our gravel drive.

Many many years ago one of our mates ran a boozer and at the end of the night we all went upstairs for a p 1ss up...next morning one of the lads was lying in a pool of blood and was rushed to hospital where he died 2 days later. Our landlord mate kept his old beer lines cleaning fluid in old R-Whites lemonade bottles and in the middle of the night the lad had woke up dry as a bone thirsty and necked half a bottle of cleaning fluid thinking it was lemonadeheh everyone used to have pop bottles full of hazardous stuff back in the day lol
Will be interesting to find out, its a lot of work preparing floors
for it not to last a reasonable time.
I wonder if when the eventually net the great Pacific garbage patch. Anything that says "made in china" will be going back theredont worry halloween and xmas around the corner , its totally fine to buy boot fulls of useless plastic cr@p as long as someone is making a quick buck , cant ship it over from china fast enough
Trouble is that soon the shipping costs will make Chinesium products as expensive as the other stuff , but by then the other stuff wont be available ,, then the Chinese can , and will charge what ever they fancy for all the stuff that used to be cheap. You'd be hard pressed to come across things NOT made in China soon, even BMW have started production and export from China.
I've come across some things that were very well made, and a lot of very poorly made kit. It depends on what you are willing to pay and how stringent your quality control is as to what comes out of the other end.
"Italian" brands, the likes of Aprilia and Vespa have gone down the Cinese route, Volvo is now owned by Geely etc.
its the plan all along eh , when we have no factorys or workers that can do these tasks , they suddenly tighten up and charge what they like and we have no choice but to go along with itTrouble is that soon the shipping costs will make Chinesium products as expensive as the other stuff , but by then the other stuff wont be available ,, then the Chinese can , and will charge what ever they fancy for all the stuff that used to be cheap.
yep just like the coal gas and oil that we have tons of reserve and all shut down . ohh and dont forget the water electric and gas companys we sold off that make massive profitsits the plan all along eh , when we have no factorys or workers that can do these tasks , they suddenly tighten up and charge what they like and we have no choice but to go along with it
trouble these days is that few people know the difference , so folk go online bargain hunting ,, when things are made down to a price instead of up to a standard , the only person winning is the vendor .Greed must be a terrible thing, all these once reputable companies
in or going to china to bring us worse products for more money, the
world must be asleep not see what the end result of having anything
to do with china is going to be, lost customers, lost reputation, higher
prices as the chinese have vast resources they bought or already owned,
they will dictate prices and availability, people just do not understand how
their dealings with china are going to cripple the rest of the world including
their own little patch.
don't worry , millions more on way from China...the ones that when licked they don't stay stuckSpot on, the sheep in our government here did the same, sold everything,
all our natural resources are gone, the canadian's run our national lottery,
the water was semi privatized, they even sold the rights to harvest seaweed
to foreigners, our forests are a disgrace, they set up a company to run those,
instead of running them they are selling them, huge chunks suddenly become
the property of wealthy individuals, they are not supposed to sell it, they are
supposed to manage the trees, sell them, and replant, but the powers that be
here in Ireland couldn't give a crap. We will probably be out of brown envelopes
soon with the scale of the crookery that goes on here.
