Thinking of getting a MK2 Jaguar

Did the interior on a xk150 a while back, drivers door was 10mm longer than the passengers on the outside yet 10mm shorter on the inside!

fixed a mk2 that had been restored at great expense had handling problems wheelbase was 1.5 inches shorter on one side
we made a body jig off a un molested original car and ripped out bodged chassis leg and inner wing and did it properly the standard of work under the liberal application of seamsealer was truly shocking/unsafe tacked up with stick the car looked great resprayed rechromed etc
all the way from the good old Usa
also a razor edge rolls royce sills a patchwork of plates full of shotblast media
with a ton of bondo over it again looked the part but the boss said something like door gaps all over the place lets have a bash at it with a bfh thats when the bondo came out in abundance so new inner sills floor plates outer sills interior all out
big job 3 to 4 weeks to put right paint etc
be very wary and take a knowlegeable enthusiast with you or source one through an owners club

on the subject of jags here is my mates xjs
24000 miles paid big bucks for it had to renew all the fan and idler pulleys recently not standard bearings either £££

heres the engine a real plumbers nightmare
im told that no one does the tappets bucket and shim cams out etc .this makes them hard to start
