Your choice of clamps ?

Sick of the cheap locking C clamps so on the hunt for a better mid price range set. Any type of one handed use type fro welding ? Tacking stuff up.

I like the Facom but pricey for me at the minute at around £65 each and i want four. Yes get what you pay for though.

what are you using in the 100mm to 150mm range.

Very good.

You can put a screwdriver through the eye and crank them right up. I have a few.

If you use a bar to crank them up, do the same to release them. If you pull the handles apart there is a lot of pressure stored and they’ll get ya!!

I cut a set in half and welded some flat bar in to make long reach ones.

just bought four . i liked the cranking eye ide, aswell for hanging them up. should last longer0 than cheap tat

If they are like all of the other Milwaukee tools Iv used they will be superb

I use them for initial clamping then when both hands are free I fit an f-clamp, the ones from lidl are quite good for the money.

Rutlands do have some very good offers on clamps on a regular basis, only annoying thing is they send more emails than any other supplier I've used.

I’ve got the Milwaukee long nose and standard vice grips and they are really good. I'd given up n the Irwin grips and these are huge step up

I bought a set of these second hand off ebay years ago. One has since snapped and I melted the end of another when I got a little close while brazing, but they're great for holding things in place when you don't have enough hands.

They work with the same pliers as the pins, which are good for locating sheets. They're meant for use riveting aluminium, but if you're ok to weld the holes up again the pins do a good job of keeping things aligned, and the little side clamps (pictured below) have a surprising amount of grip.

If I'm grinding something two of them are usually enough to keep it in place.

Never seen these. Clecos without holes!

They're deceptively strong too. I used six of them to hold all the front panels in place on a Mini. Two holding each wing onto the car and two to hold the front panel to the wings.
