Hi - newbie from Scunthorpe

Did a college night class about 9 years ago (Arc) but as the tutor never paid me any interest (left me doing beads on metal plate whilst he nattered with the TIG lot) I gave up

Have since bought myself a 135A Wolf ARC and Migmate 130A turbo. Was going to make a motorcycle lifting table but then managed to fill the garage up with motorbikes and engineering equipment (lathe, mill, shaper) so no room to make the table :whistle:

New workshop on the way to take the engineering stuff so garage space should be liberated to facilitate some fabricating space :laughing:

Both welders are currently residing under a workbench but once brought out I will no doubt be along with questions at some time in the future

i am willing to help out with the decluttering exercise.
The Africa twin is an outdated dinosaur, twin cylinders and carburretors? dont be ridiculous. Do we have deserts in the uk?

I don't do FI on bikes, just carbs, cos I know how they work and can strip, clean and rebuild them :cool:

Anyway I've only had it one month so it's not going anywhere!!

if the one showing its rear end is a 7R itl be silver and black with yellow highlights, whats the red one facing the camera next to the wall?

welcome to the forum too mate. May be worth sticking wheels under everything so you can re-jig stuff to work on instead of letting unsavory types seeing whats inside

Red one far left (headlight just visible behind the engine crane) is a 2005 chinese Hongdu GY200 enduro. Then there is the rear end of a Kawasaki ZX7R (other side of engine crane). Then there is the twin headlights of the Africa Twin

Blue machine is an Elliott 10M shaper (from 1964) with a green NuTool bandsaw in front. Behind the Elliott is the lathe, a Barker 5"x24" from 1947. The black angle poise lamp is for that. Then behind the red tool cabinet and just visible behind the orange hard hat is the top of the Chester Champion mill drill (cream with blue motor). All "heavy" machines have been converted to 3 phase using inverters and replacement motors if the original couldn't be re-wired

Only thing I want now is a Scheppach floor standing pillar drill but that's £400 so got some saving to go yet

you need a bigger garage/shed for the"heavy" machines

It's underpowered but fun. Top whack about 60 mph but it's reverberating a bit by then being a single. It's SORN'd at the moment but I wouldn't want to use it for serious off road. The rear shock is rubbish and has seized after 1500 kms!!
