Thought I would post some pic's of my prototype woodburning piggy!
The stove has been made from a 15kg gas bottle. The flue is a 4" exhaust pipe, legs are 40mm x 5mm steel tube and the hinges are some 25mm x 5mm flat bar.
I have reworked the stove by installing a flame baffle (pic 2) inside to prevent the flames going straight up the flue and wasting heat. The second reworking was cutting a 150mm square out of the top and welding in a flat plate section to for a hot plate for a small pan or kettle.
Piggy breathes through his legs (pic 3 & 4) and further flame controls are a flue damper (pic 5) and two position door latch (closed or 10mm open).
He has a serious appetite for wood, but in return rewards you with load's of heat and glowing a faint cherry red in the evenings!
