i was thinking of the real poor duty cycle of the electroweld 250 i use when working away from my oil cooled in the work shop as if its only a small job it isnt work lugging the big heavy pickhill out. if i drill a hole in on the casing near the transformer, put a airlin connecter in the hole and hooked up the airline at a fair psi would this cause excellent cooling?

It might but then again the moisture created from the compressor or the cooling effect condensing water may damage it...
Also with an orifice that size your compressor may well work overtime trying to provide that amount of air continuously...

It might be worth just attaching a bigger fan either in the case or on to it in a mounting box to draw air out...
I've seen fans from combi boilers attached in the past with good results...

You could

Still think it'd be better with a fan mounted on top hooked into the internal supply on a small transformer, say 12v.
On the top if it sucks the heat out it'll draw cool air in through the bottom if you make some more vent holes

A 12v fan will cost you a lot less leccy and meither of an air hose too, it's a nice little project making a box assembly for it as well

buy a big blower like for a furnace or get a blower from some body i don't think their hard to find

now tat looks like she will hover when at work i love it

i suppose if i lived in a cold climate like the north pole just leave her at the door and you prob would get 100% duty cycle at any amp
