SIFtrode 6013 rods - any good?

As weldequip is selling them in the online welding shop then I assume they are, but I wouldn't mind some independent verification. I've tried the search function to see if they get any mention but nothing comes up.

Pretty much since day one I've used Fincord M rods so I at least knew it could only be my technique causing any problems . I'm doing a fair bit more welding these days and at £35 for 5kg from my local welding shop it's getting expensive. With the Siftrodes at a 1/3rd of the price there'll still be change after paying the postage and adding a few consumables to the order.

As a general purpose rod for the same situations that you`d be using the M`s they are a great rod. I also use Fincord M`s for the bulk, but when they`ve gone they`ll be replaced with the Sif rods. I did a mini review of them when my supplier first got them in, i`ll see if I can find it. From what I remember they had a very glassy and easy/self releasing slag, far better striking and re striking than the Fincords and were very happy running about 20amps below what i`d run the Fincords at on the same size whilst producing the same results.

Sif 312 dissimilars on the other hand are poo, but you didnt ask about those, so I wont go on.
