Messer CO2 gas bottle

I got given this today full up,the problem i have is though my normal CO2 reg fits the outside thread but it wont push the little valve inside to release the gas on the messer one,my other bottle is a BOC CO2 which is fine,my question is,

Is there an adaptor i can fit on the messer bottle to open the small valve inside then fit my reg to this or is there any other thingymajigquickcure :whistle:

i can do,dont really want to be buying another reg just for this,yes i did do a scout around the messer site but not alot there to show me otherwise

As i said got it for nothing,be a waste otherwise

Well the damn thing wont work on mine i know theres gas there if i poke that tiny valve inside it hissis out but my regulator wont touch it :confused:

have you tryed just cracking the tap open with no reg? mine will let gas out with no reg on

yep done that,no gas untill you poke that little valve.................hummmmmmmmm wonder if that can be removed or dare i say poke it till it leaks.............no think i'll stay safe on that idea.

there must be some sort of fitting i could fiddle about with surely?

Nope thats that idea out the window,anything i put inside i cant get the reg on fully.............driving me nuts this :mad:

Very odd, i`ve just checked the CO2 bottle I keep for emergencys, it`s also a Messer one, and looks exactly the same as yours, only mine works. I dont know how you aquired it, but cant you take it back and swap it? At a last resort I could swap it with mine (full, i`ve just taken the cap off to check it)

are you sure the bottle is full as you said it hisses when you poke the valve, at that pressure it should give more then a hiss

Right problem solved why i didnt think of it in the 1st place beggers belief,as you see in the photo just unscrew that little valve out made sure tap was fully closed allen key in,unscrew,connect reg,turn tap on, bobs ya uncle :cool:
