Hi All, this was a little project i did about ten years ago.
My son paid £700 for an Astra GTE MK 1 this was the best one he could find after month's of searching.
Within a few months he asked me to have a look at the rear wheel arch extension which had come loose, as i tugged on the wheel arch the whole arch came away in my hand ! and on further ivestigation we found both wheel arches ( inner and outer ) were rotten rear 1/4 sections ( inner and outer ) outer sills, wings, floor, seat cross member, bulk head ( where steering column passes through ), you name it and it was rotten !As he'd paid a fair bit of money for it and dad felt sorry for him
