Spark when wire touches earthed material / clamp

Hi Guys, sorry don't know what section to post this is in, I have a BOC 190 c mig welder and have just noticed that I get a spark when positioning the torch if the wire touches the earthed material. Its just a brief one off spark of no great intensity, welder works fine and is my favourite toy. Just wondering if this is anything to be concerned about? I bought the machine secondhand and had to save up a long time to buy it. I don't want to risk damaging it by using it if something is amiss. It may have always done this but I have not noticed it before.

quite normal its just the capacitors discharging mine does it all the time

My eland does it as well, its just a capacitor discharging when the wire touches down, some machines have a bleed resistor fitted to stop it happening,
