Hi all,
Got a very odd problem with my TIG which until now has been flawless.
I usually only do steel. Did some Ally welding with it last week, have switched it back to DC to do some steel and it’s balling the tungsten up and not putting any heat into the work, have tried flicking the switch a few times, it must be doing something as it’s changing the current display by an amp or two when switching between modes but I can’t work out what’s wrong.
Any ideas?
There’s plenty of gas and it’s flowing nicely, have let it flow for a while and purge the torch as I swapped torches between steel and ally too.
