Arc-Tec MIG welder settings and information

Hello all,

I've recently purchased an Arc-Tec 201 compact MIG welder and was looking for some help identifying what the various settings do.
The MIGs I've used previously have only had a power, wire feed and arc force setting so I'm a bit lost when it comes to all these new functions - if anyone could shed any light on what each switch does I'd be really grateful.

Coarse volts left, fine volts right. Wfs is pretty obvious. Torch switch should be on std, amps/volts switch determines whether the meter displays volts or welding current. Burnback is the burn back timer adjustment...

I haven't come across arc force on a mig function but it's pretty much as Hugh says.

If your not that Experianced here is what I suggest

Turn both dials and feed up full and work back wire feed at each stage till you get a nice spray transfer and then dip
Then step down 1 on fine and record the settings again etc etc

Then find some different thickness steel and do some testing on what can be done on what settings

Burn back is more applicable for different metal types

Thanks for the information guys, as you mentioned I said it has Arc force - it doesn't, just a slip of the tongue.

I was just wondering if anyone could shed any light on the purpose of the multiple earth connections, what a 'colt' torch is, what the function of the 'auxiliary power' switch is and the purpose of having coarse and fine volts? I've searched online but haven't had much luck finding any information.

Forgive me for asking what might seem like obvious questions, its just that I'm used to machines with a lot less settings (e.g. volts, wire speed and spot weld settings).

I sort of prefer course and fine volt control as two dials. Reason is it just sticks in my mind better like 3- 4 wire 8 4-3 wire 15
Don't know if that realy makes sense but on a mig I prefer not to have just one volts dial
