Right lads, I've got one of these [yes....I know]
which I need to use with one of these [yes, I still know , but needs must etc ]
to achieve end results like this, on these and other 'stuff'
The gun has a nozzle of 6mm and will only 'recirculate' if in the vertical position and hard against the work-piece, which you'll appreciate is less than ideal for my needs.
My question is this: if I turned another suitably shaped nozzle to fit over the front of the existing one, with [say] a 4mm or even 3mm hole and instead of the useless bag simply extended the pick-up tube so that it was in a receptacle of the blast medium [currently kiln-dried sand], would it allow the gun to be used in various 'attitudes' ? I'd also dispense with the rubber shroud [quiet at the back!! ].
I appreciate the compressor will run out of puff in short order, but the convenience of not having to stop to refill the bag would make it worth the wait.
I have plans to make a small blast cabinet from a plastic storage box in time [yet another 'project' on the list ] but as a stop-gap would this work, or am I kidding myself?
