CUT-50 spark gap setting

Does anyone have the spark gap settings for the contacts on the hf generator board on a cut-30/40/50?

Mine has suddenly developed a fault where it doesn't want to fire the arc up, I'm guessing it is spark gap related.

Don't know for sure but when it worked my cut 40 had a gap of approx 3mm, I would try closing it up a bit at a time and see if it works, if it doesn't then you are in the same boat as me.
Do you send it off to plasmapart along with £100 of hard earned for them to fix til next time, or cut your losses and look out for a better made unit secondhand?

Got a Cut50 here not working now as a puff of smoke came out the front and it stopped. Not had chance to have a look see what's possibly wrong if it's pass repair by me it'll get scrapped and buy a hypertherm !.

I have been considering one of these CUT 50's, but considering the price and origins I'm unsure about the quality and longevity. It seems that my intransigence has turned out be fortunate. Looks like it's another 'buy cheap and buy twice'.
