Dragon Fly

I've wanted to make a dragonfly for a while but when I was thinking about how to make it I decided i'd make it with a bit of a twist. A mix of dragon and fly this is as far as i've got so far. Its made from an old shelf out of an old paint cupboard that I pulled out of a skip. It wants a good bit of tidying and shaping but I want to get the head done first because I think its going to be a right pain to get something i'm happy with.

I formed the ribs with a lump hammer and a modified cold chisel with an inch thick pad of rubber under the steel. Then worked it from the other side onto a 3" pad of rubber mounted in the end of a scaffold pole with a ball pein and cross pein hammer. I split one of the ribs working it too much without annealing it but I brazed it up. It took quite a while working alternate sides to get them like this.

It was a fair bit of work, its just for the garden for now unless someone offers me a stupid amount of money

I think you miss understood or I didn't make myself very clear, it was a lot of work getting it this far.

I haven't had a lot of time for this recently but i've made a start on the head.

A lot of the time I don't really have a plan of how to make something. So sometimes I just start messing and that gives me more ideas. I figured a dragons nostrils would be a good place to start so I started off with a bit of scrap tube and flared one end then one thing lead to another. That's as far as i've got for now.
