Looking to mod the printer enclosure so we can print ABS and the other smelly ones, indoors and smell free.
The original fan arrangement seemed to draw the ABS and warp it in the direction of the air flow. It was though drawing from "within" the enclosure:
New plan is something like this shown below. We'll build a raised section with a vent at the front. It'll connect to a "chimney" running up to the existing fan but this "route" will be sealed from the enclosure where the printer sits.
A big hole will get drilled in the existing base for air to hopefully be drawn down through.
The printers PSU will be moved and the wires extended to hopefully be cooled by the air drawn in at the front but out of the way of the warm air being drawn off the printer. The front doors will be replaced probably by a "drop down in slots", single sheet.
Excuse the carp sketch!
Any comments / thoughts appreciated!
