good quality 10-12" hand shear - who/where?

Hi Folks,
I'm looking for some help finding a good quality medium to heavy duty hand shear, similar to the american 'grizzly 12"' shear - ive been scanning google and various tool websites but all i can come up with really is small chinese stuff. can anyone recommend a manufacturer or supplier of a decent hand shear?

All Grizzly stuff is Chinese. I guess almost all of this type of thing is far east now? Used from auction or a dealer might be best bet unless you are ok with Chinese?

really? im ok with chinese, once its not a badly made, cheap knock-off piece of crap. if its good quality chinese, im good with that!

WNS do a 300mm one that looks pretty much identical to your pik (link). I've been using one of their throatless shears for years without problem.

I have a Peddinghaus that I saved from being skipped...! Six or eight inch though.
Mind you I have seen cheapo versions that look to be a nigh-on perfect copy of the Peddinghaus, so maybe this one's actually just a rebadged Chinese thing...

I have an Indian made 12" shear I bought cheap from J&L Industrial Supplies many years ago and after a bit of fettling it has served me well.

they look good! thanks for the link! 90% of my work will be 2mm stainless sheet, so very few times if ever will i be cutting bar on it, i have a horizontal bandsaw for that. I just want something more than capable of eating through 2mm stainless sheet instead of being at capacity of a smaller shear and letting me down. i just realised i need something like this to save me time, as im currently cutting all skid plates for exhaust silencers on the bandsaw/belt sander, and it take a bloody lifetime!

Yeah, when i put in milling machine it suggests milking machine. Some bits do surface from time to time though.

At the college a few years ago the head of department bought a new "heavy duty" one from machine mart, i bolted it to the bench & the very first time it was used to cut a piece of 2.5mm plate it broke. Oh dear!
