ive wanted a size of pipe 3mm thick by 660mm and I had some 3mm sheet handy so decided id give it a go with rolling it into a round shape
heres the results via a wagon ratchet and finally a big vise to close the shape smaller still
heres some pics of rolling it in the end I used a vise to bend the edges so they didnt cut my straps by standing and pushing on it a gas bottle to roll it smaller.
then a 8" lamp post to get even smaller or as much as a circle as possible and got it too about 10 1/2" from a flat sheet of steel 26" high x 18"
in end i ended up using a large vise to get it smaller on the width from 10 1/2" to 7 1/2"
ive had fun making it like that
ive also decided i want a bender/ roller machine to do more of these
this is the shape i was roughly wanted to get after straightening it out its near enough to what im wanting
a half round into some straight bits but i can do this with a half round pipe and a u shape to make the front part and a little bit of welding to join up with both ways used
as this item needs to be 3mm thick
