Hi All,
I recently acquired the above stud welder for the princely sum of £80. No guarantee it worked and is missing the stud gun. I temporary connected it to my 32 amp 3 phase welding socket (I know the unit ideally requires 63amp supply), and it powered up ok. I upgraded my installation to a suitable 63amp socket and connected the welder to it and the second I press the power on button on the front panel, the MCB trips. I fitted a 63amp Type D MCB due to it being a really large inductive load, so I don't think that is the problem.
I was wondering if anyone has a circuit diagram for the welder? I would very much appreciate anyone's help with this one. I can trace all the wiring, however it would be very time consuming if someone already has the info to assist in the fault finding I would be very greateful.
Dave.
