HT 220 AC DC Dead

Urghhh, was just doing a bit of TIG this afternoon - DC at around 45 amps. When I arced up I got a brief arc which then stopped followed by error E7 on the machine. I switched the machine off and back on and now it is completely dead - no displays lighting up - nothing.

I have tried another source of power.

I'm assuming I will have to bite the bullet and send it off for repair unless someone has suggestions of things I can try?

Edit1: It's a Lorch machine, by the way - I put the post under the Lorch section and then forgot to put Lorch in the title!

Edit2: Error E07 is some kind of internal power supply fault, apparently. I've tested for power at the switched side of the mains switch and have given the machine a good clean out but there is still no sign of life from it.

Is it still under warranty?

I had a repair done to my T220 by Camarc ......They were pretty good and quick.

They need the whole lot though to check it properly....Torch, Welder and cooler if you have one.

Thanks Wyn - yes, I've been on to Camarc already today (I found them from the Lorch UK website) and they mentioned I need to send the torch with it. Unfortunately it is no longer under warranty - it's something like 4.5 or 5 years old. I'm just searching for a box to put it in - I recycled the one it came in a while ago when having a clear out.

I got a tig repaired by welderfix on here.didnt need anything but the machine, bout 100 quid plus vodka and tonic.
gives a warranty of 12 months too
