Hi all brought this the other day dont laugh £100 inc wire regulator and cheapie auto mask cant find much about it .
The encoder was loose it must of had a knock and the rotary switch was away from the pcb but i managed to refix the metal clips it and it is all functioning ok transformer is copper wound but thats all i know about it not sure of amps etc.
States 170amp @ 20% And 25amp @ 15.2v to 170amp 22.5v
I measured the voltage between earth and tip of torch with wire feed loosened and trigger pressed and it varied with the eight setting control knob 28v on 1 to 48v on 8

Much of it looks remarkably similar to my Awelco, the torch outlet, the casing/chassis....

Phew thats good to here how do u find the Awelco it does have Awelco on the front searched for them and they do a Mastercraft 185 which looks pretty much the same

kamanchi's are good welders. we use them at my work. admittedly we have the 300amp 3 phase series, but even so, they are good quality.

Think mines a mastercraft 205. Its an older version than yours, mine doesn't have dro for the wire speed.
Its alright, runs pretty happily on most settings from a 13a plug.
Starts and runs smooth too, for a single phase setup. Think i paid about £300 for mine about 10 years ago.
