I bought several cheap strip lights for the garage. 2 failed quickly and were replaced without quibble.
The symptom was dim/flickering LEDs.
On disassembly the transformers (?) showed clear heat damage on one. There was no obvious damage to the other.
I have kept the LED strips.
My might be useful one day box also has a 12v transformer from another light fitting. I would like to try powering the LED strip from this transformer.
Looking at the 2 ends of the LED strip I think one pair of connections powers one run of LEDs and the other is a power 'pass through' to the transformer at the other end powering the other strip.
But which pair is power to LED and which the pass through?
I can play about with the multi meter to establish continuities.
Are these 12v LEDs?
