Afternoon all,
I finally have some time to do the Crusty Honda's exhaust Y(or is it T?)-piece, I'm planning to use the little mig as the tig's out of gas...
I bought a roll of the inexpensive mig brazing wire flagged here a few weeks back, as the pipe's aluminised should I grind/flapwheel back to steel before attempting to mig braze it, or go with regular steel wire and hope the arc's enough to get though the aluminium coating? I have argon in a little bottle for brazing, argon/co2 mix for welding.
Planning to overlap the two bends onto the larger straight pipe and have a "seam" where they siamese into each other (then beat 'em circular) and onto the larger pipe, can anyone rrecommend anything helpful?
Cheers, any advice gratefully received!
