Morris brake linings

Found these old brake shoe linings, there for a morris van /singer.
Look at the label with them, certainly good advertising for ferodo

I remember my father re-lining Land Rover brake shoes, think he used copper rivets?

There is a railway bridge near us that had a huge Ferodo advert board on it, put up in the 70's. The roads were altered and an underpass dug next to it meaning there was no access to get to it, so it stayed up until a couple of years back when it fell down. It was always known as the 'Ferodo' bridge...well worth whatever they spent on the sign, 40 years worth of advertising on a busy road junction!

it says on the box that the ferodo factory was in chapel en le frith, derbyshire. Anyone know when it closed?

I'm sure I remember that bridge but can't place it. The name Ferodo was all over Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Yes, copper rivets were used, they were supplied with the linings.

I've just done a set of 1932 Morris brake linings. Seemed to work out alright.

Still open. I pasted it a couple of weeks ago. I think the admin centre might be elsewhere hence different address on web site.

Personally I highly rate Ferodo pads. I always try to specify them when buying for my own cars and I'd be that bit happier if I let someone else work on them and came back to find something like that.

It's nice to hear that at least some part of their manufacturing process is done in the UK too.
