I'm replacing the entire floor on a 1960 Mini. I've cut the old floor out leaving the flanged edge still attached. My question is - would it be ok to leave the original flanges in place and spot weld the new floor flange through them - in effect I have a double thickness on the flanges.
Otherwise it's a real pain of a job trying to split the old flanges apart. Any thoughts
