What I'd like to know is are the small pin holes in the reverse side of my welds normal and what causes them?
Mmm, this was a test but weld with 1mm steel with my Clarke 160EN Turbo set at Min 1 Im pretty sure, using Halfrauds Argon Mix. How do i get the heat down on this minimum setting, technique??
Weld faster, the penetration (as it is) looks very wide, are you using some sort of weaving technique, if so, don't
If you are using 0.6mm wire, increase to 0.8mm, it's a lot cheaper and welds better too
Provided you don't alter the settings too much you are going to be melting a far greater cross section of wire with the same power, so in effect it will run cooler
