I had a 180, which I upgraded to the 250 to deal with some RSJs for my garage. https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/the-start-of-my-new-garage-build.96570/Hi Guys is the 180 good then? was thinking of dropping the money on one . Its a minefield out there, its only for my old vdubs . Maybe a bit of heavy duty stuff but i have my dads old school arc for that . I currently have a clarke pro 90 ok but need one at my house and parents , im getting to old lifting it about
Both are fine machines. The 180 is better suited to thin stuff as the 250 drives 50 amps on minimum. The R-Tech staff are a joy to deal with and will go well above and beyond to help you.
Are there better machines out there? Yes, for sure, but the cost is a lot higher. For this price range I think the R-Tech machines represent excellent value for money and are backed up by a good UK based company.
