Hi everyone, I’m after some help advice regarding the refurbishment of Miller Compactblu 201 MIG welder.
I’ve done a few projects and if this factors in I intend to strip it down, shot blast and paint the chassis and cover, replace damaged wires and fix the 3 faults it has along with general refurbishment .
Firstly I’d like to know if it’s worth it? I paid £30 for this so I have scope for a few spares.
The faults are
1.Large capacitor blown and it has no markings other than FACON, I’ll need a spare.
2.Pulse adjusting wire broken and PCB loose, this is an easy fix.
3.some internal wiring requires replacing. Torch and ground cable required.
I’d be grateful if anyone con offer advice on spares, a manual and whether it’s worth my time. I renovate things as a hobby so I’m more concerned with having a decent machine at the end of it. Cosmetically I can make it perfect, I just need parts to fix it before the put time into making it look good.
Thanks in advance for your help
