hi all....
just been looking at this eastwood soda blaster...looks a nice bit of kit...dont no alot about the eastwood tools but they seam to have some cool bits of kit...has anyone on hear got one or used one....as regards to the soda....will it remove rust....old paint...filler......as my 100e project is going to need a good blasting....i have a good sized industrial compressor so air cfm shouldnt be a prob......

2 tanks soda & grit saves changing media.
There are better metering devices than ball taps, have a look at Cresco
They all clog up especially soda use one with a damp inhibitor we buy from NA Robinson, really helpful Co.

The most important thing to getting soda working is to have a dry air supply.

Any moisture in your air and it will continually clog.

just take the existing ball valve of the bottom of cheap pot and screw in fit airfeed hose and blast hose thats it i personaly dont think its anything fancy that a decent metering valve would be

That's what I thought, but what's that extra bit of flexible pipe for?

the pipe is for blowing out clogs.

Great thing about soda is no need to clean up. Dissolves in the rain.

Also it doesn't generate as much heat so doesn't warp the panel

I see, stops them ending up at the nozzle and blocking it.

in other words its just a cheap metering ball valve with a tee off above it with hose and tap ive never had a blockage above the valves i make ever
