spraying problem please help
i recently bought a compressor and sealey gravity fed spray gun for spraying gates and railings. the problems i am having is that the paint is not coming out as much as it should do. for me to get it to spray properly i have to keep running my finger over the outlet pin and then it would spray well for bout 10 - 15 secs and i constantly have to keep doing this. i thought the problem was the nozzle size so i upgraded it to 2.0mm but the problem keeps happening. i am using proper paint for spraying and even though it said thin 20% i even thinned it 35 to see if it helps but no luck. i know the gun is only a cheap sealey one but surely it should work better than this. i have stripped the gun down and cleaned it all down with thinners but still no luch. has anyone any ideas on why i have to keep running my finger over to get it to spray right
it is a 290 litre compressor and i am runing it on psi so there is definately enough pressure getting to it , i am using ROURKES VINYLAST paint which is for spraying and seeing i have over thinned it, it should come out no bother at all in theory. i know it is only a sealey spray gun and i know there is a lot dearer ones on the market but for my work of spraying rails this should be good enough
can anyone please help me and tell me why i have to constantly keep running my finger over the nozzle to get it to spray properly. the gun has been stripped down and cleaned even though it is new
thanks
