I bought this cheaply four years ago from a member here then promptly put it on a bench and forgot about it.
It's a Tauco branded Delta DP600 drill made in Milwaukee. It will go nicely with my 1940's South Bend lathe.
It has a three phase motor I that I don't think can be converted to run on 240v so I might need to find a new one.
First question is, is it missing the table or is this what it's meant to be like.
It's got a very large smile on the base so it must have been used like this.
The wiring looks very crusty and I can only see three cores coming from the windings, I'll pull the motor out and take it apart for a look, it's a hefty old lump and not the original as the mounting has been drilled to fit it.
Next question is how do I check the quill, (is that the right word? ) For play in the bearings?
The pully looks pretty rough but might work ok.
Any advice welcome.
