Morning everyone advice needed have removed Clarkson auto lock chuck don’t need it if possible won’t to replace with 13 or 16mm key chuck threaded arbor what size will fit m1 and where would I get one thanks
Can you take a picture of the Clarkson chuck you have removed so we can see what taper is on it. This page says 2 Morse in the vertical head and 3 Morse in the horizontal spindle, but the photo will confirm:
When you say 'threaded arbor', do you mean 'female threaded for a drawbar' (at the top) or 'male threaded to screw into the Jacobs chuck' (at the bottom).
It is more normal to use a Jacobs chuck with a female Jacobs taper in it and use an arbor with a male Jacobs taper on it.
What thread is on the drawbar that you currently have? If if is an imperial thread, it might be difficult to find a new drill chuck arbor with the same thread. If you intend to buy new, you may end up buying a metric-threaded arbor and having to make a new drawbar.
Hi your second option sounds good Jacobs chuck with female taper no problem about drawbar make one you may have guest bye my questions I am a newbie hope photo helps thank you so much time and help
The chuck is £20.97 and note that it has a B16 taper.
The arbor is threaded M10 and costs £7.56
In both links, it is the items at the bottom of the listing.
You should double check that M10 will fit through the spindle (poke a piece of rod down it) before commiting to buy. The Clarckson might be 3/8" (9.5mm) and if you were really unlucky, the 1/2mm might make a difference.
I have not bought this item but I have not bought anything bad from ArcEuro. I would call them a safe bet rather than the best bet. There are other comparable suppliers like RDG, Chronos, Warco, Chester, Armadeal, Gloster Tooling. Rotagrip are another option, but are more at the professional end.
I would wait until you receive a few more suggestions before spending your cash - there is likely someone who has bought similar from Amazon or eBay and could vouch for the quality.

Which spindle do you want it to fit? If it's the vertical head I think it's MT2 but the horizontal spindle is probably MT3 or 30 int. S type head is MT2.
