I quite often have to make very small screws either BA, metric and sometimes odd ball, I have a nice set of BA down to 16 and thread plates to do odd ball and I also have a set of metric from 1mm to 2.5 but the die holder is next to useless so decided to make myself a couple of die holders that I could fit in tailstock Chuck but not tight so they would slide, I could have knurled them but making very small threads one needs a bit of feel So I decided to use a graver to put grooves in then a ball end mill and I think there is just grip , yes I know one is longer than the other but that’s all the stock I had, the next job is to make tap holders.
