Welding Light

Hi;

I have a Siflite Auto Darkening Helmet, bought from Weldequip http://www.weldequip.com/siflite-helmet.htm, and have found when welding it is essential to see what you are doing.

Anyone got any that they would recommend for welding and general auto repair.

Stick a LED on top of your head, get a bright one they can be quite cheap.
Great for working in dark corners, also make you like a space alien.

Gaffer tape or cable ties do the job, tape is best while finalising the position.

Or clip one on yer tool Only a couple of quid at the local cheep jack shops. swivles round and clips on your tourch. I also have one of the panel led lamps that Aldi (or Lidi) sell from time to time. Lots of led's about 10x10 inches and mains powered. Not dirt cheep but a nice white light.

I shall be keeping an eye out for that version.
This is the kind of stuff that can sit for months in a tool box and save your bacon one day. And if it gets knackered being used it means it was worth it.
