10 gallon sandblaster

hello everybody ,im a newbie here and have a few questions about sandblasting

i have seen a 10 gallon sandblaster in the local tool hire shop,just wondering what are they like and would it be worth buying,i have a few land rover wheels to blast and a bonnet and mudguards of a small vintage tractor.
thought i would be better buying the equipment than paying to get it done
would a 10 gallon be suitable or what would people recommend

a 10gallon pot with a 3mm jet would get u away using a 14cfm compressor min . dont expect to much of it though. land rover wheels have quite a large aeria as well as tractor mudguards . u can open blast using a dust mask and a face shield but an air fed helmet is best but costs big £££££££:

What BS says really.

I did a Landrover tub, wheels, doors, bonnet, seatbox, bulkhead &c using one and the large areas were a bit tedious, a poly disc would have been better, but blasting wheels is the only option really. Get a quote and then do the maths, bearing in mind with the gear you can always do jobs for other people! That's how I started and I now do scooters more or less full time.

It's worthwhile getting a tungsten nozzle too, ceramic ones don't last 5 minutes.

A good soak in paint stripper will help things along.
