12v inflator Schraeder adaptor

Hi guys,

I bought an eBay special 12v tyre inflator that in the images showed that it came with a 1/4 Euro coupler on the end and a curly extension that is connected from that to a normal schraeder valve.

My plan was to screw it down and hard wire it into my van via a switch in the garage so I can use it to air up/down my tyres on wet grass etc.
however when it came everything had normal shraeder valves which isn’t the end of the world however I don’t seem to be able to get long 10m extensions for these fittings.

Does anyone know if there is anything available so I can either change the fittings on the inflator (looks like it has about 10mm OD hose) to 1/4 Euro compressor fittings which is what’s on the extension I ordered.

No idea what you actually want but can't you just cut the existing fitting off and fit whatever you require?
I'd guess the 10mm o/d hose will have a 6mm or 1/4" ID for which most fittings are available

Well yes that’s what I’d like to do ideally but I’m not sure the ID of the hose and without cutting it off which could turn out to be about 4mm and then I can’t return it.
I wondered if anyone knows the id of standard 12v inflator hose so I can get maybe a barbed fitting but 6mm may be too big.

Looks to be one of those small but quite good compressors. Having done the long curly hose from a bolted down onboard, I've found it easier to just move the compressor to the wheel - the cable tidies up neater and tighter then a hose.

I don't think there is any standard to the hose size. Just whatever that particular manufacturer choses to use.

1/4" is probably the most common thread used with air lines so, if you don't want to cut the hose, just screw an adapter into the end of the compressor to give you a 1/4" thread. Then you can scree an airline / slinky / quick fitting onto that.

Update chaps.

Managed to get a 6mm hose barb to Euro coupling, chopped the schraeder end off and after a bit of huffing and puffing and some fairy liquid she slid home!
