Inside the box there is a wheel that runs the length, you want 100 amp, chuck in one hamster, and away he goes. Wheel can accommodate max of 7 hamsters, hence 700 amps max
He's using the building earth to carry the welding current. The welding current must come straight from the mains - and the electrode will be at mains voltage. I don't see how a device with a single live wire in can reduce the voltage or increase the current.
