2 post Screw / Electric car lift issue....

Hi everyone, hope you're all well. I have a 2 post screw type lift which has given up on me today, my own fault. I was rushing put a Hilux jeep onto it, didn't balance the jeep properly and left it too nose heavy, however I decided in my wisdom to lift it anyway and you've guessed it, it broke.

The motor is still turning but its not operating the screws. Is there a shear pin from the motor to the drive gear for the gearbox?

I'm kicking myself for being so stupid.....

That's like asking how long is a piece of string.

What make and model?
Where is the motor?
Photos?

Usually if its a single motor, it will drive belts and pulley directly onto the screw, and the bottom of the first screw drives the second screw via chain drive.
Now there should be either a shear pin in the pulley or a key, you'll have to pull it off to investigate further.

Sorry, its quite an old lift as in probably 25+ years old, but was refurbished with new bronze nuts etc about 10 years ago and only really hobby use since. The electric motor mounts to a gearbox on top of one of the legs. Not sure of the make atm, will get a few pics and a better look tomorrow.
