20 Gallon Sandblasting Gun Spare Part From Where?

Attached photo of sandblasting gun the nozzle retaining nut is on the right and hose end on the left. This is the exact same gun as on my sandblaster and ceramic tips to fit are readily available. I want to have the nozzle assembly on the end of the hose inside the cabinet.As in other photo attached. I don't want to take the gun off my sandblaster. I just want to get the nozzle retaining nut, where can I get one?

your wasting your time with that set up just change the blast jet to a carbide one and hold it in with a jubily clip

The tungsten carbide nozzle you refer to has an OD of 10mm the hose inside my cabinet has an ID of 9.5mm. I have 5M of Draper hose with an ID of 13mm.
Would that 13mm hose clamp down on 10mm nozzle securely?

Warm the hose up a bit with hot water, insert tip and clamp down. My blast hose is too big for the nozzle, trying to work out a suitable fix. Probable go for a collet to bulk out the tip and give a snug fit in the bast hose. I did start to modify the dead man handle but that was just overcomplicated and the dead man handle is cumbersome in a cabinet and fatigues the hand and wrist.

I've got some even bigger hose and I've just wrapped insulating tape round the washing machine hose so it fits into the blast hose (which is actually some car heater hose!)

Give it a good push, warming the hose like SmartWerks suggests would help. Don't use a hammer, Tungsten can be a bit brittle.

I was going to sleeve it, but with all the bits of vac hose and such like I had nothing just right. So i thought a collet would be better having a bigger clamping area. But ye, whatever works and gets the job done.

Sit the hose in a flask of hot water for a minute or 2, nice and soft then. Lil bit of washing liquid for lubrication if it won't go in. Don't forget your gloves!

The collet arrived today, tungsten nozzle field, nice and snug

although their is a problem i hadnt considered.....

Just going to secure the washer with some jbweld, hopefully it will do the job?

How are going to secure the nozzle? It needs to be tight or else it will fly out when it blocks.

That's the one mate!

The collet fits in the blast hose down to the shoulder, well it will when i soften the hose up then clamp down with a jubilee clip. Should be more than secure enough me hopes?

if it ist it will do what one of mine did . flew off at a great rate of knotts and landed somwhere in me field 18 quid up the swannie brand new never to be seen again

The clip will have to close the collet to grip the nozzle, the washer stuck on the end may prevent this. TBH I doubt whether they're be enough force in the hose clip.

Wounded, i only blast in a cabinet. Should be ok if the clip can compress the collet although not sure if the 7nm will be enough but we shall see

That's my concern, although the nozzle is very tight in the collet without any clamping force - had to tap it home.

I can't introduce silicone into the process, if any contamination occurs I will have issues when coating

use sicaflex or tigerseal then
