229 Points on licence still driving !

This caught my eye how can he get insurance !! hes only 26 too !!

Apparently there are over 10000 people still driving in uk with over 12 points many with much more than that

Do you really think they've even got insurance? I'd guess that a lot of those points are as a result of driving with no insurance or MOT.

229 points could be 77 separate speeding offences. That's easily doable in a couple of weeks, not quite 6 a day. Granted you'd have to be very, very unfortunate to be caught that many times but consider how many times the limit changes on short sections of road or the variable speed limits on motorways.

I reckon it's a government sanctioned hitman killing people accidentally on purpose by dangerous driving.

I came across it to last night and was astounded but he is not the only one.

I mentioned it to my S in L last night, he to exclaimed, " how the hell did he manage that"!

There was an explanation given, it went over my head a bit but my understanding of what was being said was a lot like yours, easy to do on a long stretch of road with variable speeds clearly the Courts are taking this into account.

But 229 bloody points! jeez! and not the only one.

I would have thought it would be fleet managers getting the huge number of points? Wouldn't need a huge fleet to accumulate a lot of points, especially if they related to a lack of insurance or similar and the offence was per vehicle in a given period.

The A34 between Birmingham and Walsall made it onto a Top Gear item with the most cameras per mile a few years ago.
