25/20mm Steel Conduit as Air Ring Main?

I've been offered enough of this, cheap enough, to warrant the question.

Its come from a factory refit, that never got off the ground, and the stock needs to be shifted pronto pronto. So, new and unused!

I know that it is the electrical conduit, but it is of steel construction, and the threaded ends could be PTFE'd to create a seal, etc. But is it safe? I can't get on to read the British Standard BS4568 Part 1 to which it complies.

I wouldn't like to say if it would be safe or not but I wouldn't expect it to be pressure tested in any way. Also it is mutch thinner wall that say 1/2bsp pipe.

not worth the bother. by the time u try and fit bsp fittings on the ends as there in compatible its thin and seam welded as well

I'll have a look around at what else they're getting rid of, thought I spy'd some cable tray that will come in handy the other day...
