Hi there -
I'm getting myself into a confused state and I'm hoping you can clear it all up for me please.
Question 1 - Does all 2K clear coat contain Isocyanates?
Question 2 - What is the acrylic paint in the rattle cans from halfords, is it waterbased or 2K solvent?
Question 3 - What are the different types of clear coat and what are their characteristics, for example, solvent based, 2K Acrylic, Waterbased, 2K Iso?
Question 4 - Is there such a thing as waterbased 2k clear coat? How do I tell which is a solvent clear coat and which is waterbased?
Sorry for so many questions!
By the way, I guess I've got more money than brains at the mo - I've got a new Air fed mask, and a devilbiss triple stage filter to remove water and oil etc., a hefty petrol compressor, and a paint extraction system in my home made garage booth. So I can spray using 2K iso without health risks. But I just need to understand it all first.
Many thanks,
Jim
