3/4 bsp fittings

Can anyone supply me or know where i can get a 3/4 bsp x 3/4 bsp barrel 6 to 8" long threaded i have looked on the net and can only find it in 3 metre lengths

Barrels have male threads, not female as per that Ebay link.

That is per metre, but they can supply any length upto 3m, although it might not be worth your while for small quantities.

I thought nipples were male and barrels were female?. Search for malleable iron fittings you should find something you can use.

Just to clarify
This is a Barrel Nipple

you can also buy half nipples
This is a socket

depending on the application, you could weld 2 half nipples to a length of pipe to save having to thread the ends, I do it all the time with stainless pipework, much easier than threading.

I Could thread a piece up for you , unfourtunatly i dont have any 3/4" to hand . If you/anyone else could send me a piece i could thread it no probs .

Either that or buy a 3/4" longscrew ??

Agreed with Paul, barrel nipple top, weldable socket at the bottom.

Threading is alright if youve the machine, not by hand.

Barrel nipples have the taper, 3/4" per foot, but you can also get straight ones.

BES should have them, I was buying iron fittings localy, but last time I wanted some no one admitted to having any and I ended up buying the bit's, including a 3/4 nipple about 8inch long, from BES.
