3 HP Compressor for mask and gun!

Is it feesable to run an air fed mask and gun off a 3hp compressor! Specifically a wolf dakota??

Probity not as air masks are air hungry

As above, not really as a mask wants about 6-7cfm continuous so doesn't leave enough to run a gun. Got a 3hp here for the mask alone. Tried a small-tanked 2.5 but it was going to die soon with the continuous load.

I think it depends on the items being sprayed, I just about manage small motorcycle panels with mine without it cutting in too much.

It's to paint 2 MG Midgets for a start! So think I will obviously need more capacity.

Maybe it will have to be a decent 3hp and a smaller aldi/lidl job as well linked together as in the tutorial?? Good idea or not??

Just seems 2k is the way to go!
