4 seat, folding hardtop convertible suggestions needed

Hi all,

I'm seeking the opinion of the collective here. A friend of mine is looking for a 4 seat convertible. It has to have a folding hardtop rather than a soft top and she has a budget of around 12 - 15k.

Is there anything out there that is definitely worth a look or definitely woth avoiding?

TBH, I'm struggling to find anything that isn't German (not that that's necessarily a problem) but anything will be entertained.

Any suggestions? Even if it is only suggestions as to where I should look.

Most are not really 4 seats… the back pair are usually unuseable by normal people

Looks like it but ab it old now. Went out of production in 2015 apparently.

I had a Triumph TR3 many many years ago........Bought it off a bloke in a Pub.....went outside and drove away in it........it wasnt until later that I realised it had no roof.......I kept it until it got soaked ....it was knackered when I bought it

Of the hard tops eos is still a good call, I loved mine. Can’t remember if the newer slk is 2 or 4 seat ?

not that many available really… just make sure the roof works and doesn’t leak … the bill is thousands if there is an issue and (most) extended warranty will not cover it

Only ever had 2 convertibles in over 40 years..Triumph stag and a Mustang. Worst idea ever is to drop the roof on a sunny day which i thought was the whole idea, you drive around sweating and blinded by the sun and go home with a face redder than a di(k on a dog. Not for me so i am out

2 You get sun burnt.
3 You go deaf with the noise.
4 Bird **** in your lap, seat, all over the steering wheel.
5 Some tracksuit wearing scumbag will steal anything in it if left for more that 30 seconds.
6 You look like a hairdresser / gay / desperate, could be all three!

I don't even like sun roofs
